Phoenix Global Support delivers standardized, professional and repeatable intelligence collection and analysis, military leadership, and related subject training for the warfighter.

Phoenix provides program management augmentation, staffing, and operational services to extend an organization’s subject matter expertise and human resource capabilities.

Headquarters for the Phoenix Global Academy is an 18,000 square-foot campus located in the heart of the Sandhills in Fayetteville, North Carolina.


James A. Lyons was born in Indianapolis, Indiana.  He entered the Air Force in May 1978 and completed basic training at Lackland AFB, Texas.

His duties have included Special Tactics Assault Teams on operational missions with spearhead forces for Operation JUST CAUSE and ENDURING FREEEDOM.

He deployed to conduct security surveys at embassies for the Department of State and Department of Defense and assisted with development of plans for evacuation of American citizens.

As Operations Superintendent for Special Tactics forces, he developed war plans for joint staffs during Operations UPHOLD DEMOCRACY, ALLIED FORCE and ENDURING FREEDOM.  Jim was awarded combat jump-stars for Operations JUST CAUSE and ENDURING FREEDOM.   He retired from a distinguished active-duty career with the United States Air Force in 2008.
